Once again, the incident involving a young boy in a Penn State locker room shower was discussed.
Sandusky’s attorney says that's because they can't be proven without Tim Curley and Gary Schultz, who are awaiting their own trial for perjury.
Sandusky's attorney, Joe Amendola, says the two former Penn State administrators will invoke their Fifth Amendment rights and not testify at the former coach's trial.
Their involvement stems from the charges involving victim number two, a boy prosecutors say was sexually abused by Sandusky in a Penn State shower in 2002.
The two face perjury charges for lying to a grand jury about the incident and its aftermath. But prosecutors say they can provide documentation and other evidence to support the charges and question Amendola relying on them as witnesses.
“If you'll recall Mr. Schultz and Mr. Curley are charged with perjury, i have not in my experience ever elected to call witnesses under investigation for perjury and vouch for them,” stated Senior Deputy Attorney General Joseph McGettigan. “If he'd like to, that's up to him.”
Victim two has never been located or identified. When asked about other known alleged victims, Amendola says he has not contacted them yet, but does plan to do so. However he admits he does not expect any of the accusers to speak with him.
